Prospect Park CSA · Est. 2011

Who
We
Are.

A volunteer-run, neighbor-powered farm share serving Crown Heights and Prospect Heights since 2011.

Good
for all.

Joining a CSA is a step towards food justice and sustainability, and a way to opt out of industrial agriculture and factory farming. When you buy a share, you're voting with your dollar for a different kind of food system.

01
Good for the Environment.

CSA members support an alternative model that prioritizes human health, environmental conservation, sustainable practices, and small-scale farmers. Your share dollars never touch industrial agriculture.

02
Good for Local Farmers.

CSA membership fees go directly to the farmers. In the conventional food system, farmers get on average only 7.8 cents of every dollar spent on food. Here, that number looks very different.

03
Good for Your Wallet.

CSA membership fees, averaged over the season, come out to less per week than the cost of comparable organic produce at a supermarket. Eat better and spend less.

I love getting lost in Prospect Park — there are spots where the trees mute all the sounds. At those moments you forget you're in a big city.
